Overview

Darchula Multiple Campus was established in 1997 AD (2054 BS) as a community-based campus. It is located in Api Municipality, Khalanga which is an emerging town of Darchula district in the far western region of Nepal; it is also a border town adjoining Dharchula, Pithaudagad, India. It is affiliated to Tribhuvan University and approved by University Grants Commission of Nepal. Hence, it is completely supported and managed by the community.

Darchula Multiple Campus offers BBS, B.Ed., BA, MA and M.Ed. in all streams of Management, Art and Education. Unanimity in campus development among all the stakeholders including political parties, parents, representatives of the municipality, District Development Office, etc. Most of the officials and parents are the graduates of this campus. There is a sense of belongingness among all concerned.

It is mainly catering to the students from villages and small towns of Darchula and at least nine adjoining all Gaunpalika and Municipality, mainly of the students are the first generation in higher education, many of them are from Dalit and disadvantaged Janajati groups. Darchula Multiple Campus has overcome many challenges and accomplished many achievements. It must be a pride and prestige of Far Western Region, Darchula, because it is one of the leading multiple campus in this area and it has qualified teachers, quality production and efforts of diverse developments. So Darchula Multiple Campus has become a bright light of education in Far Western Nepal. Darchula Multiple Campus, the glory of Far Western Region, has earned its name and fame in multiple campus faculty across Far-western Region.
