Overview
Dadeldhura Multiple Campus was established in 1995 AD (2052 BS) as a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University and approved by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. It is located in Amargadhi, Dadeldhura district, in the Far-Western region of Nepal. It offers bachelor-level programs such as Bachelor of Education in Information Communication Technology (BICTE), Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), MEd in English Education, MEd in Health Education, MEd in Curriculum and Evaluation and MEd (Masters in Education).
Dadeldhura Campus, located in Amargadi MunicipalityWard no. 8, Birpatta Community Forest, Dadeldhura Multiple Campus, serves as Tribhuvan University’s gateway in Sudur Paschim Province. With active local community support, it offers bachelor’s and master’s programs, pioneering quality, affordable education across diverse disciplines and modes for local societal progress.
Dadeldhura campus, in the far-western hilly region of Nepal, has grown significantly over the years. Initially offering a one-year B.Ed program in 2052 BS, the campus expanded its offerings to a B.Ed in 2057 BS, followed by M.Ed in 2064 BS, ICT B.Ed in 2066 BS, and later introduced M.A, B.A, and BBS in 2072 BS. An M.Ed program through ODL was launched in 2013 in response to evolving educational needs. Recognizing student demand, the campus has also pushed to introduce Social Studies in one-year B.Ed through ODL and plans for an M.Ed in English Education pending approval.
Active student recruitment includes advertising via FM radio, local newspapers, social media, and direct phone contacts. Individual guidance and counseling sessions personally address student needs, while periodic contact sessions help with assignments and problem-solving. Improved ICT resources, including repairing and acquiring 25 computers, support both ICT and ODL learners. Despite increased enrollment and progress in shifting student attitudes toward ODL, challenges remain regarding teacher mindset, limited internet capacity, and timely dissemination of results.
The campus continues to seek dean support for operational calendars, enhanced learning materials, and better ICT training, aiming to empower its student community.
