Overview

College of Applied Business & Technology (Formerly CAB College): Founded in 1998 by a group of experienced educationists and professionals, the CABT is a non-profit institution committed to excellence. The college initially offered the Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) program, believing that competent and excellent manpower is a prerequisite for the overall development of the nation.

Small Class Sizes and High Teacher-to-Student Ratio

CABT believes that well-versed students with high moral values and in-depth knowledge of subjects will be better placed in society. To achieve this goal, the college has been applying appropriate teaching methods such as seminars, research, and industrial observation tours. These regular features of the college have been highly successful in enhancing the knowledge and personality of the students. Moreover, the methods applied by CABT have been amply justified by the consistently high success rate achieved by its students in university final examinations.

CABT has been keeping all its classes small, with a maximum enrolment of thirty students. The college admits only two sections of thirty each in undergraduate level and above levels, resulting in a highly conducive teacher-to-student ratio for individually supervised study. To expose students to the real business world, the college has been supplementing its theoretical classes by introducing professional managers, scholars, and people from different walks of life for guest lectures.

Programs Offered by CABT

As an institution affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB) and Tribhuvan University (TU), CABT has a choice of programs to cater to students' expectations. In 2001, CABT added the Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) program to its curriculum. In 2003, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program was added, along with BBS and BIM still running.

In 2011, CABT introduced the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (B.Sc.CSIT) program, providing students with a new avenue for their academic pursuits. The college celebrated 13 years of being a business college in the same year.

Transfer Credit Agreement with SUNY

CABT signed a Transfer Credit Agreement with THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (SUNY) at PLATTSBURGH, enabling CABT students to transfer up to 60 Cr/Hrs to SUNY if they desire. This will facilitate CABT students to complete their US education in a record two years.

CABT's Vision and Goals

CABT has come a long way since its establishment, with the Board of Trustees governing the institution, formulating and amending rules and regulations regarding admissions, academic needs, and employment. The principal, as the executive head, is responsible for the daily operation of the institution. The college is liable for things promised by the principal alone.

The goals of CABT are to foster an educational environment sensitive to the needs of all students, encourage admission on an equal opportunity basis, and provide facilities that assist students in achieving academic and professional excellence. Additionally, the college aims to provide instructions and conduct research in the areas of business, management, and professional fields while pursuing the truth and striving for excellence in teaching learning, and creative endeavors.

CABT has been dedicated to providing students with a good value education that is personal, relevant, and business-focused. The college's commitment to excellence has resulted in consistently high success rates among its students in university final examinations. CABT continues to strive for academic and professional excellence by introducing new programs, encouraging equal opportunity admission, and fostering an educational environment that caters to the needs of all students.
