Overview
BP Memorial Health Institute & Research Center was established in 2066 BS (2009 AD) under BP Smriti Hospital. The institute was founded with the primary objectives of producing skilled human resources and conducting research in the field of health to support the implementation of basic healthcare activities within the healthcare system of Nepal.

The institute is located in Dhapasi, Basundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal.

To be established as the center of excellence to produce basic to higher competent workforce in various health science and technology fields.
Mission
The mission of the Institute is to improve the quality of health services through skilled human resources in the field of medical science and technology.
Objectives
- Skilled Workforce Production: To produce skilled Nursing and general medicine workforce to fulfill the manpower needs of the country.
- Health Services Diversity: To facilitate the diversity of health services through educational health training, outreach progress, and community participation.
- Competent Health Resources: To produce competent, skilled health human resources in preventive, rehabilitative, and curative sectors.
- Community Mobilization: To mobilize community people to make primary health care more accessible and affordable to disadvantaged groups in remote areas of the country.
- Knowledge Retention: To retain and enhance knowledge, attitude, and practice within health personnel through mid-level health training, especially for staff nurses, General Medicine, Lab technicians, and other related fields.
- Health Education: To develop competent health educators to provide essential health messages and awareness to the community.
Courses Offered
- PCL Nursing (Staff Nurse): A 3-year program with 40 seats.
- PCL in General Medicine (HA): A 3-year program with 40 seats.
Scholarship Information
- Full Scholarships: 3 seats are available in each program.

- Special scholarships are available for students.

- Practical exercises are conducted in a 100-bed hospital and other affiliated hospitals.
