Overview
Bhaktapur Multiple Campus is a historic educational institution in the Kathmandu Valley, established in 1959 AD (2016 Kartik 19 BS). It was founded to provide education to the young city of Bhaktapur, which had only one English school and one Sanskrit Pathshala for learning in the Rana Regime era. Despite the interest of people in literature during the Madhyakal era, Bhaktapur was mostly known for agriculture and business, and education was neglected until the establishment of this college.
Early Struggles and Progress
After the fall of the Rana Regime in 2007 BS, people in Bhaktapur still lacked access to higher education. In 2016 Kartik 19 B.S., the Public College was granted permission to establish the Bhaktapur College to provide education up to intermediate levels. The college aid and trust committee acted as the management committee and appointed professors for specific subjects.
The Bhaktapur College made remarkable progress and achieved recognition as a degree college at the Bachelor's level. The economic condition of the college was not up to the mark, and donations were collected from generous people to construct the campus building. Many professors taught the students voluntarily without receiving any salary, and some people donated land to construct the college building.
Campus Growth and Expansion
The campus was upgraded over the years, and its building was constructed in front of the current day BhajyaPokhari in an area of 51 Ropani, 11 Aana. Bhaktapur Multiple Campus celebrated its silver jubilee in 2041 Kartik 19 B.S. and its Golden Jubilee in 2066 Kartik 19 B.S. As the campus became a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University in 2030 B.S., several personnel served as Campus Chief according to the date mentioned.\
