Overview

Babai Multiple Campus was established in 1987 AD (2044 BS) as a community campus located in Gulariya, Bardiya district of Nepal. It is affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU) and approved by University Grants Commission of Nepal. Bardiya is geographically situated in the terai region, in terms of education the district is the most backward in the comparison to other districts. Having realized this, the then stakeholders, intellectuals, academicians, social workers, politicians, and common people from different government and non-government organizations brought this campus into existence by their unforgettable contribution.

Although, in its establishment period the campus had launched teaching-learning programs only at proficiency certificate level (PCL) in Humanities, believing in far-sightedness with never-ending endeavors, the campus had been successful to launch various programs in different period of time. Because of the due help, demand, intension and enthusiasm of the inhabitants, academicians, intellectuals, civil society people, politicians, governmental and non-governmental organizations, students and the guardians of the district the institute has been successfully conducting Ten plus two programs affiliated to National Examinations Board (NEB).

As a great institution for producing reignited educational manpower and effective professionals for the nation, the campus will certainly try its best to prove itself to be a great hall-mark in the educational arena.

Babai Multiple Campus offers Bachelor and Master degree programs in Management, Humanities and Education faculties.

Teaching Methodology:

To make the teaching-learning much easier different teaching methodologies are applied in the class room. We use lecture, discussion, multi-media and PowerPoint presentation, presentation by students, panel discussion, seminar, workshop and other current contemporary learning methods.

Mission:

The mission of BMC is to provide a superior climate of learning through excellence in instruction, climate of learning through excellence in instruction, attention to students needs and co-operation with other agencies to enhance BMCs own resources.

Goals:

The following goals serve as the basis of the overall BMC strategic planning frame work. These strategic goals reflect and support the purpose (vision) of the BMC as well as the key challenges, opportunities and strategic issues facing the BMC that were outlined earlier in SWOT analysis.

  • The BMC will develop a system to enhance quality and improve service delivery in accordance with the needs of the students, faculty, staff and the community.
  • The BMC will have the resources required for academic excellence.
  • The BMC will improve gender parity in higher education by including students for all socially, economically and culturally disadvantaged groups.
