Overview
The Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) was established in 2000 under the affiliation of Tribhuvan University with the vision of becoming a world-class academic institution. The college offers BE-level academic programs in Civil, Computer, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical engineering.
In response to society's rapidly changing needs due to advancements in science and technology, ACEM is committed to producing academically qualified and technically sound engineering graduates through quality education. ACEM aims to enhance the quality of engineering education by upgrading and updating the applied and research-based knowledge and skills of its faculties, staff, and students.
ACEM continuously supports its students through research-based student organizations like the robotics club, PACE (Project Association of Computer and Electronics), and ACESS (Advanced Civil Engineering Students Society). The college encourages its students to organize and participate in various activities, seminars, workshops, and competitions within the country and abroad to showcase their achievements.
ACEM has already started the construction of a new college building on its land in Balkhu, Kathmandu. The building will have a total floor area of about 180,000 sq. ft. and cover around 13 Ropanies of land.
The college organized the Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) conference 2016, where many of its faculties presented papers. ACEM has been working on creating a conducive academic environment within the college premises and the entire engineering community.
To this end, the college has published three journals named "Journal of Advanced College of Engineering and Management" (JACEM), regularly publishes the final year project abstracts in a booklet, and has started publishing an annual magazine to encourage students, staff, and faculties to showcase their talents.
ACEM's vision is to be one of Nepal's best technically innovative engineering schools and establish itself as a world-class institution. The college has a long and distinguished record of producing outstanding graduates who have progressed to the most prestigious institutions for professional careers or research study, whether within the country or abroad.
Vision:
To be recognized as one of Nepal's most innovative and technically advanced engineering colleges, committed to providing a comprehensive education that balances theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in their future careers.
Mission:
To produce technically competent, proactive, and ethical leaders who manage a global workforce with diversified workgroups and adaptability to various cultures. We strive to establish ourselves as a world-class institution through continuing education, faculty and staff development, and corporate research and consultancy. We are dedicated to fostering a self-motivated learning environment through long-term relationships with other national and international educational institutions, corporations, research organizations, and government and non-governmental organizations.
Life at ACEM:
Our campus in Balkhu, adjacent to the Ring Road, offers the best of both worlds: a central location in the capital city with a serene atmosphere and natural beauty. Our well-equipped infrastructure is regularly upgraded with the latest technology to ensure students can access modern equipment.
We aim to provide our students a comfortable and homely environment on the college premises. In addition to the academic curriculum, we offer a diverse range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, enabling our students to enjoy an all-around education and an active college life. Students can join clubs that match their interests and participate in various events organized by these clubs.
International Partnership:
At ACEM, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible global experience. In today's globalized world, staying up-to-date with international trends and developments is essential. Our international partnerships with Stars Scholars Network and Angelo State University help our students gain new perspectives on research and build relationships with others, which are essentials to career development.
These collaborations offer a path toward a collaborative approach to global learning, engaging faculty, students, and institutions by sharing cross-cultural practices.
Extracurricular Activities at ACEM
At ACEM, we believe that the college experience is more than just pursuing a degree - it's also about becoming part of a community and developing holistically. Whether taking courses online or in a traditional or modern classroom setting, connecting with others and building relationships beyond the classroom is essential.
To support our students' holistic development, ACEM encourages them to participate in various sports and extracurricular activities. Research has shown that sports and physical activity can reduce anxiety and depression, leading to improved overall mood and mental health.
At ACEM, students can explore their talents in various sports such as basketball, football, cricket, futsal (female), volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tug-of-war, and chess. We also encourage our students to participate in inter and intra-college competitions, which allow them to excel in their chosen sport and develop valuable skills such as teamwork and leadership.
Students can make the most of their college experience by participating in extracurricular activities and sports and creating lasting memories and relationships. At ACEM, we strive to provide a supportive and engaging environment where our students can thrive academically and personally.
