
Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya (SAM Pokhara), Phoolbari, Pokhara, Admission Notice for Grade 6 Students
Applications are invited for admission to Grade 6 at Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya Pokhara for the upcoming academic session 2082. Admission is open for sons and daughters of Nepal Army personnel (currently serving and retired) and civilians who are interested in studying in a disciplined environment with full English medium instruction.
The application form can be obtained from the college or downloaded from the website www.sampokhara.edu.np upon payment of the prescribed fee, except on public holidays.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
a) The applicant must have passed all subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (at least C+ grade or GPA 2.4) in the annual/half-yearly/second trimester exam of Grade 5 in 2081 from a school recognized by the Government of Nepal.
b) The applicant must not have exceeded 12 years of age as of 1st Baisakh 2082.
c) Applicants must pass the written entrance examination conducted by the college. Shortlisted candidates based on merit will be selected for the second phase, which includes an interview and general health screening.

Certified copy of the mark sheet of the Grade 5 annual/half-yearly/second trimester exam of 2081 – 1 copy

Copy of birth certificate certified by the local registrar – 2 copies

Recently taken photographs – 2 copies (1 passport size, 1 auto size)

For children of serving soldiers: Original recommendation letter from the concerned unit showing the child's date of birth – 1 copy

For children of retired soldiers: Copy of pension payment slip – 1 copy
Candidates selected for admission after passing the final entrance exam must submit the necessary academic documents (transfer certificate, character certificate, and mark sheet) to the Examination Section of the college before enrollment. Submission of IEMIS transfer is also mandatory.
Additional Information:
Under the quota for Nepal Army personnel and college staff, only one child from one couple is allowed to study in one academic level with concessional benefits. If a child has already received this benefit at a particular level, another child of the same parents will not be granted the same benefit at the same level. However, if they wish to study by paying the full fee as a civilian (open category), permission may be granted.
Children of personnel who lost their lives during service, those listed as eligible under the rules, and differently-abled children of army personnel are also eligible to apply as per the provisions.
