Admission Notice for Nepal Army Residential Schools for Academic Year 2025-26 (2082)

Applications are invited as per regulations for admission of children (sons/daughters) of all ranks of the Nepal Army (both serving and veterans) and civilians who wish to study in a disciplined environment with English as the medium of instruction at the following institutions for the academic year 2082 BS (2025-26):

• Army Residential Colleges in Bhaktapur, Pokhara, Dharan, Surkhet, Kailali, Chitwan, Bardibas, and Butwal for Grade 6

• Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Army College for Grades 1, 2, and 3

• Ripumardini Army College for Grade 1

• Swetataara Montessori Army School for pre-primary levels (Play Group, Nursery, LKG, UKG)

Application forms can be obtained from the Principal's office of respective colleges/schools by paying the prescribed fee or can be downloaded from their websites on regular working days.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

(a) Candidates must have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (minimum C+ grade or GPA 2.4) in all subjects in the annual/half-yearly/second trimester examination of 2081 BS (2024-25) from a school recognized by the Government of Nepal:

• For Grade 6: Must have passed Grade 5

• For Grade 3: Must have passed Grade 2

• For Grade 2: Must have passed Grade 1

• For Grade 1: Must have passed UKG/SKG

(b) Age requirements as of Baisakh 1, 2082 BS (April 2025):

• For Grade 6: Not exceeding 12 years

• For Grade 3: Completed 7 years but not exceeding 9 years

• For Grade 2: Completed 6 years but not exceeding 8 years

• For Grade 1: Completed 5 years but not exceeding 7 years

For Swetataara Montessori (Army quota):

• Playgroup: Completed 2 years but not exceeding 2 years 6 months

• Nursery: Completed 2 years 6 months but not exceeding 3 years 6 months

• LKG: Completed 3 years 6 months but not exceeding 4 years 6 months

• UKG: Completed 4 years 6 months but not exceeding 5 years 6 months

For Swetataara Montessori (Civilian quota):

• Playgroup: Completed 2 years but not exceeding 3 years

• Nursery: Completed 3 years but not exceeding 4 years

• LKG: Completed 4 years but not exceeding 5 years

• UKG: Completed 5 years but not exceeding 6 years

(c) Candidates must pass the written entrance examination conducted by the college (except Playgroup), be selected for the second phase based on merit, and also pass the interview and basic health examination.

Required Documents:

(a) A certified copy of the mark sheet of 2081 BS (2024-25) annual/half-yearly/second trimester examination:

• For Grade 6: Grade 5 mark sheet

• For Grade 3: Grade 2 mark sheet

• For Grade 2: Grade 1 mark sheet

• For Grade 1: UKG/SKG mark sheet

• For UKG: LKG mark sheet

• For LKG: Nursery mark sheet

(b) A certified copy of the character certificate mentioning the student's age - 1 copy

(c) Certified copy of birth registration certificate from local registrar - 2 copies

(d) Recent photographs - 2 copies (1 passport size and 1 auto size)

(e) For children of serving army personnel: Original recommendation letter certified by the Unit Commander mentioning child's date of birth - 1 copy OR

For children of veteran army personnel: Copy of pension certificate - 1 copy

• Candidates selected for admission must submit certificates (transfer certificate, character certificate, and mark sheet) of the respective completed grade to the examination section of the college before admission. IEMIS Transfer is also mandatory.

• Under the army personnel and college staff quota, the policy of "one couple, one child, one level" applies. If one child of a beneficiary has already studied at a particular level with a rank-based concession, a second child will not be granted the same concession at that level. However, they may be allowed to study by paying full fees like civilian (open group) candidates.

• Children of army personnel who attained martyrdom while serving in the Nepal Army, those mentioned in the rules as eligible for benefits, and differently-abled children of army personnel may also apply for admission as per regulations.

1. At Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Army College, new students will be admitted to Grade 1 (Army and Civilian quota) and Grades 2 and 3 (Civilian quota) as per the examination schedule mentioned below. Interested candidates can contact the respective college for detailed information.

2. At Ripumardini Army College, new students will be admitted to Grade 1 (Army and Civilian quota) as per the examination schedule mentioned below. Interested candidates can contact the respective college for detailed information.

3. Special scholarships are available for Grade 6 (Civilian quota) at Army Residential College, Bardibas, Mahottari, for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Madhesh Province. Interested candidates can contact the respective college for detailed information.

4. Children must pass activities related to overall development and basic written examinations for Nursery, LKG, and UKG at Swetataara Montessori Army School, Chhauni.

Entrance Examination Schedule:

• Form Distribution and Submission Dates: From Chaitra 03, 2081, to Chaitra 13, 2081 (March 16-26, 2025), 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (except public holidays)

• Written Entrance Examination: Chaitra 16, 2081 (March 29, 2025), Saturday at 1:00 PM
