Admission Notice for M.Sc. GIS at Kathmandu Forestry College invites applications in Master of Science in Geographical Information Science and Systems (UNIGIS M.Sc.) for October 2021 session.
UNIGIS Kathmandu Forestry College (Nepal) offers internationally recognized academic qualifications within the provisions of the UNIGIS dual Degree program in cooperation with the Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS, University of Salzburg. UNIGIS Kathmandu welcomes Nepali citizens and persons with a permanent residency in Nepal as students.
The University of Salzburg will award graduates the academic degree Master of Science (Geographic Information Science & Systems) – MSc(GIS) and the “Academic Certificate in Geographical Information Systems”, respectively.
In collaboration with University of Salzburg, Austria Authorized by: Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal Accredited by: Tribhuvan University
The two-year course covers 120 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) points and in 12 modules such as Data Modelling and Data Structures, Data Source and Data Acquisition, geo-database management, collaborative project and thesis research etc.
The course has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal, and the degree has been recognized as equivalent to Masters Degree by the Tribhuvan University

- Documents to be submitted along with completed application form: (i) academic transcript of Bachelor degree, (ii) updated CV, (iii) a copy of passport

- Bachelor graduates of any disciplines including Geography, Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Science, Forestry and Agriculture.
