MPhil-PhD Programs Admission Open from Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

This notice has been published for the information of all concerned that the online application form for the entrance examination has been opened for the students who wish to study at the Darshanacharya Vidyavaridhi (MPhil-PhD) level in the subjects specified by the Dean's Office for the academic year 2024 (2081/082) under the Darshanacharya Vidyavaridhi (MPhil-PhD) program run by the TU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Note:
Under the Darshanacharya Vidyavaridhi (M Phil-PhD) program, applicants can fill out the online application form for the subject they want to enroll in and the central department/programs they want to study from New Student Registration by typing entrance tufohss.edu.np on Google. No action will be taken on application forms received after the deadline and in the prescribed format.

Notice Regarding Admission to the Darshanacharya Vidyavardhi (M Phil-PhD) program:
1.1 Applications are invited for the Darshanacharya Vidyavardhi program in the following subjects:

1.2 Qualifications:
(a) A Master's degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from Tribhuvan University (TU) or an educational institution recognized by it with at least CGPA 3.0 or Second Class.
(b) The application form must accompany a copy of the mark sheets, certificates, transcripts, and citizenship certificate from the entrance to the postgraduate level.
(c) Applicants who have passed the mentioned level from other universities must submit an equivalence and transfer certificate.
(d) If the applicant wishes to apply for a subject different from the subject studied at the postgraduate level, he/she can apply only for the subject specified by the Dean's Office as per the criteria specified by the concerned central departments and departments. The subject applied for cannot be changed later.
1.3) Application Process and Date:
(a) Application form filling period: 2081 B.S. Magh 28 to 20 Falgun 12:00 PM.
(b) The application form filling period has a late fee of 2081 B.S. Falgun 21 to 24 Falgun 12:00 PM.
(c) The application fee is Rs. 5,000/—(Rs. Five thousand only), double the late fee. Applicants must pay the application fee through e-Sewa or Khalti while completing the online form. Only applicants who meet the mentioned qualifications are recommended to pay the application fee. Applicants who do not meet the qualifications are also informed that the fee will not be refunded if they pay it.
(d) The entrance examination for the Darshanacharya level (MPhil) will be conducted on Saturday, Chaitra 02, 2081 BS, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the University Campus, TU Kirtipur Campus.
(e) The concerned departments/programs will have to verify the application forms filled online by the candidates using the username and password provided by the Dean's Office, including the application fee, eligible subjects, etc. After verification by the concerned departments/programs and approval from the Dean's Office, the candidates can obtain the admission letter using their username and password from 26 Falgun 2081 BS.
1.4) Additional information regarding the entrance examination:
(a) For admission to the Darshanacharya-Vidyavaridhi (MPhil-PhD) program, applicants will have to take the entrance examination conducted by the Dean's Office. Only the candidates who have passed the entrance examination and are in the order of merit will be allowed to be admitted.
(b) If the number of candidates applying for a subject is less than 5, the applicant may take the entrance examination in another subject of his choice (subjects permitted by the subject committee).
(c) The written entrance examination will focus on two subjects/areas: Subject Knowledge and Research Methodology (100 marks). The entrance examination will be 3 hours long. The structure of the question paper will be posted on this faculty's website. Only candidates who have passed the written examination will be invited for an interview. The merit list of the candidates who have passed the written examination will be published by adding the marks obtained in the written and interview.
(d) The maximum number of admissions for each subject in the mentioned subjects will be 35.
(e) Information regarding the interview will be provided after the written examination results are published.
