A) M.Phil

Specialization Entry Requirement

a.  Educational Leadership

b. Development Studies

 Master's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.

c.  STEAM Education 

A Master's degree or equivalent in STEM-related fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Pure Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Applied Mathematics, etc.) from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.

d) English Language Education

Master's degree or equivalent in ELT/English Language Education/English Literature/English linguistics with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.

A) Ph.D. Programs

Specialization Entry Requirement

a.  Educational Leadership

  • 17 years of formal education
  • A minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3 out of 4 in the last degree in related fields.
  • Applicants are required to submit their research proposal along with the application
  • An MPhil degree and publications of research articles are highly preferred.

c.  STEAM Education

Application duration: December 8, 2020, to January 8, 2021

  • Written test (online): January 13, 2021
  • Interview (online): January 14, 2021
  • Orientation (online): February 5, 2021
  • Classes start: February 7, 2021

NOTE

  • Some MPhil programs run in regular and/or block modes.
  • Classes are run from 5.30 to 8.30 pm Nepal time, six days a week, except Saturday. Because of Corona Pandemic, classes will be run online. If the situation improves, there will be face-to-face classes at our campus at Hattiban, Lalitpur. However, those who are not able to join the face-to-face classes could continue online for the coining Spring Semester.
  • As the Ph.D. applicants need to go through a specific process, they are required to contact the concerned departments before submitting their applications
  • Applicants waiting for the results of their last degree can also apply. In case someone cannot complete their last degree within one month of the beginning of the classes, they need to withdraw from the program. In such a case, only 70% of the fees paid will be reimbursed.
