CTEVT Urgent Notice Regarding Applications for Program Change at Diploma and Certificate Levels

Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Examination Control Office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur Urgent Notice regarding Applications for Program Change at Diploma and Certificate Levels

In line with the decision of the Examination Committee on 2081.09.12, all students enrolled in various Diploma and Certificate level programs offered by:

1. Constituent, Partnership, and Community Schools running Technical Education programs under CTEVT

2. Private institutions affiliated with or approved by CTEVT

Those who wish to change their study program must apply, clearly stating valid reasons, by office hours on 2081.09.21 (Sunday) at the Examination Control Office. The following documents and conditions must be met and attached without fail when applying. Any incomplete or submitted application after the final deadline will not be processed.

Conditions and Required Documents for Program Change

1. Applicable Session

   • Program changes apply only to students from the academic session 2080/081.

2. Application with Reasons

   • Students must submit a written application (request) clearly explaining the reason(s) for requesting the program change.

3. Year/Semester Eligibility

   • For the Annual Examination System: Students in First Year who have registered in one program but wish to change to a different program (as stipulated by the curriculum) at the Second Year level may apply if they have completed the same curriculum at the First Year level.

   • For the Semester Examination System: Students who have registered and studied in the First Year, First, and Second Semesters of one program can apply to change to a different program in the Second Year, First Semester only if they have completed the same curriculum in the First Year, First and Second Semesters.

4. Copy of Registration Card

   • Attach a photocopy of the valid Registration Card.

5. Agreement Letter from Both Institutions

   • Students must submit an agreement letter indicating the quota (scholarship or full fee) from the transferring institution (the original institution) and the receiving institution.

   • The original letter verifying a vacant quota in the receiving institution must be attached.

   • A Consolidated Internal Assessment Sheet (of the previous year/semester) certified by the institution must also be submitted.

6. Institution Category

   • Students may request a program change only within the same institutional category:

     • Constituent to Constituent

     • Partnership to Partnership

     • Community to Community

     • Private to Private

7. Internal Assessment Results

   • Students who have failed their internal assessment will not be granted permission for a program change.

8. Institutional Limitations

   • While granting consent for program changes, institutions must recommend only within the number of seats available (vacant quota) in their programs.

9. Responsibility for Unapproved Enrollment

   • If a trainee (student) can study in a changed program without obtaining an official consent letter, that trainee will not be permitted to sit for the final exam. The concerned educational institution will be held responsible for this breach.

Important Note

• All documents and processes must be issued after this notice's publication date.

• If the updated (revised) curriculum is already in effect, a recommendation for a program change will not be issued.
