Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya, Teghari, Kailali, Notice Regarding Admission in Class 6
Applications are invited for admission in Class 6 for the upcoming academic session 2082 at this college, which offers full English-medium teaching in a disciplined environment. Applications are open to children of serving and retired personnel of the Nepali Army, as well as civilians, according to the rules. Application forms can be obtained from the college administration branch or downloaded from the website www.samt.edu.np by paying the prescribed fee (except on public holidays).
Minimum eligibility criteria for admission:
(a) The applicant must have passed Class 5 annual or half-yearly (second trimester) examination in the year 2081 from a school recognized by the Government of Nepal with at least 50% aggregate marks (minimum C+ grade or GPA 2.4) in all subjects.
(b) The applicant must not exceed 12 years of age as of Baisakh 1, 2082.
(c) To be eligible for admission, applicants must pass the written entrance examination conducted by the college, qualify in order of merit, and also pass the interview and basic health check-up.
Documents to be submitted along with the application form:
(a) One certified copy of the Grade Sheet showing successful completion of Class 5 annual/half-yearly (second trimester) examination in 2081.
(b) One certified copy of a character certificate stating the student's age.
(c) Two copies of a certified birth certificate issued by the local registrar.
(d) Two recent photographs (1 passport size and 1 auto-size).
(e) For children of serving personnel: Original recommendation letter issued by the concerned unit (digitized recommendation acceptable) showing the child’s date of birth.
(f) For children of retired personnel: One copy of the pension certificate.
Candidates selected for admission after passing all phases of the entrance examination must compulsorily submit the required academic documents (transfer certificate, character certificate, and grade sheet) before admission. IEMIS Transfer must also be completed.
As per the policy for quota under Army personnel and college staff, only one child per couple can study under the concession scheme at each level. If one child has already received the benefit at a specific level, the second child will not receive the same benefit. However, if the second child wishes to study by paying the full fees like in the civilian (open) category, admission can be granted.
Children of Army personnel who died in the line of duty, those who are eligible for benefits as per rules, and children with different abilities will also be provided with admission arrangements according to the rules. Interested candidates from these groups can also apply.
