Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering (IOE), Entrance Examination Board Notice regarding the entrance examination to be conducted for the admission of undergraduate (B.E./B.Arch) students for the academic year 2079/2080
For the admission of students in various programs at the Bachelor (B.E. / B.Arch.) level for the academic year 2079/2080 in the affiliated campuses and affiliated colleges of TU, ââInstitute of Engineering (IoE); Since the entrance exam will be conducted through computer method on the basis of information technology from Kartik 16, 2079 at the Institute of Engineering, Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC), Pulchok and will be conducted according to the prescribed time and shift following the health standards of the Government of Nepal; This notice is published for the information of all concerned.

1) Minimum Qualification for Application
1.1) At least 45% of the total marks and Letter Grading in Proficiency Certificate Level or Higher Secondary Level or A Level or Engineering Diploma Level or similar examination by taking Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects in class 11 and 12 from TU or an educational institution recognized by it. If so (in the case of NEB) students who have obtained a minimum C Grade in the Final Grade of each subject and passed will be eligible to participate in the entrance examination by applying.
1.2) Foreign nationals can only apply for the full-fee program.
2) Method of filling out application form and required documents
2.1) Applicants have to fill out the application form for the entrance exam placed on the website of the Institute of Engineering Studies: https://entrance.ioe.edu.np and submit it online through the same website.
2.2) The Online Form on the website will be available only from 10:00 am on 23-06-2079 to 5:00 pm on 2079-07-06. Therefore, it is advised to fill out the examination form at any time within the said period. The online form will close automatically after the specified time.
2.3) The application form can be filled out at any time on the specified days from any place with an internet facility.
2.4) Amount of entrance examination fee is Rs. 2,000.- (literal rupees two thousand only) from any branch of Siddharth Bank Ltd. within Nepal for the IOE entrance examination, a special voucher prepared by that bank should be submitted. The amount paid for the examination fee will not be refunded after the bank receipt has been cut. Siddhartha BankSmart service provided by Siddhartha Bank can be used for free in addition to a bank voucher to deposit the application fee. Fees can also be collected through Connect IPS / eSewa / Khalti Wallet. For using Connect IPS / eSewa / Khalti Wallet, an additional fee will be charged as per the rules of the service. The details of the payment process using Connect IPS / eSewa / Khalti Wallet or BankSmart can be seen at https://entrance.ioe.edu.np. When filling out the online form, you must fill in the bank voucher number or Transaction ID Number (Connect IPS / eSewa / Khalti Wallet).
* Applicants should have filed the entrance exam fee by 3:00 PM on 2079-07-06. The application form should be completed by 5:00 PM.
2.5) The applicant must fill the following information following the instructions given while filling the form.
(a) Applicant's Introduction: Name, Father, Mother, Date of Birth, Permanent Address, SLC/SEE/ISc/10+2/A Level/Engineering Diploma or similar results, recent photograph of 350x300 with full forehead visible Plain Background It should be a Color Digital Photo, any other size photo will not be accepted
(b) It should be ensured that the number of examinees will be limited in each shift.
2.6) When filling the online form, you must provide a digital copy of the identity card with your photo and signature (such as: citizenship certificate, driver's license, passport, ISc/10+2/A Level/Engineering Diploma final year exam admit card) The shadow copy should also be uploaded.
2.7) After submitting the exam form online, you should print the Acknowledgment Page that will be received immediately.
2.8) After the date 2079-07-14, the admit card will be provided in Online in a phased manner according to the exam date of the candidate. The admit card should be downloaded and color printed. Admit cards will be mandatory to join the exam.
2.9) Copy of the ID mentioned in the admit card along with the photo revealing your identity as per point no. 2.6 when coming for the entrance exam.
You will also have to bring a certificate.
2.10) Applicants who have submitted the online form must confirm whether their name is present on the date and shift specified by them on the Acknowledgment Page received in point no. Should be contacted.
3) Information regarding the entrance examination
3.1) The questions of the entrance examination conducted through computer methods based on information technology will be objective. The number of questions will be 100. It will be deducted 0.1 mark for each wrong answer.
3.2) According to the syllabus published by the IOE Entrance Examination Word, the examination will be conducted by computer method for a total of two hours in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Note: Candidates who have passed the undergraduate level BE/BArch entrance examination conducted by TU Institute of Engineering (TU IOE) in the academic year 2079/2080, if they meet the legal criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal, according to the regulations on scholarships, 2079/ 2080 will be eligible to apply for higher education scholarships in engineering subjects.
