Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology Studies, Dean's Office notice regarding the admission of new students for the four-year bachelor's degree in Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) program 2078

The following new enrollment program for the year 2078 has been published for the students who wish to enroll in the four-year bachelor level Bachelor in Information Technology (BIT) program which is being taught according to the semester system under the semester examination system in the affiliated campuses of Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology.

1) Minimum eligibility for application:

(A) Must have passed at least second class in English and Mathematics subjects from any faculty in proficiency certificate level or similar examination from TU or its recognized institution.

(B) Must have passed English and at least one paper mathematics subject in class 11 or 12 from any stream of secondary school, has obtained at least C grade in those subjects, and have passed the final grade CGPA 2 of class 11-12.

(C) Must have passed the A-Level examination with minimum D Grade in English and Mathematics.

(D) In ​​the case of students who have passed 3 years Diploma from CTEVT, English and Mathematics subjects should have passed at least second class with a minimum of 100/100 marks.

2) Application Process Completely Online:

(A) By visiting the link of the BIT entrance examination on the website of the Institute of Science and Technology Studies www.tuiost.edu.np and the applicant himself/herself has to fill the application form online and submit it through the same website.

B) Online forms on the website will be available only from 10:00 AM on 2078-10-03 to 5:00 PM on 2078-10-26. The online form will automatically close after the specified time.

(C) Double fee payment online form will be available only from 10:00 am on 2078-10-27 to 5:00 pm on 2078-11-04.

(D) Application form can be filled from any place with an internet facility at any time on specified days.

(E) The amount of entrance examination fee is Rs. 1,500. The special voucher prepared by the bank for the entrance examination of the Institute of Science and Technology from any branch of Global IME Bank Ltd. within Nepal must be submitted to be deposited in the account No. 0501010000023 in the Global IME Bank Ltd., Kirtipur branch of this office Fees can also be collected through e-banking / eSewa / ConnectIPS on the website. While filling the online form, it is mandatory to fill the bank's voucher number or transaction ID number (for e-banking / eSewa / ConnectIPS). Applicants should be able to file the examination fee by 3:00 pm on 2078-10-26 and fill the application form by 5:00 pm. The amount paid for the examination fee will not be refunded after the bank voucher is deducted.

F) When filling the form, the applicant must follow the instructions available online and submit it along with the information and materials to be uploaded. In order to prove the minimum eligibility of the application, it is suggested to fill the form only after preparing the materials including certificate/mark sheet/transcript/equivalence certificate, etc., and MRP Standard photo with signature.

G) The Acknowledgment Page should be printed immediately after filling and submitting the examination form online.

H) Admit cards will be provided in a phased manner online from 2078-11-05. You have to download the admit card and print the color. In order to join the examination, it is mandatory to go to the designated district/center along with the admission card. Along with the admission card, you will need to bring the ID (such as a citizenship certificate or driving license, or last academic level admission card) with your identity photo.

3) Students will have to choose the district to take the exam in while filling the online form. They will be as follows:

(A) Kathmandu Valley

(B) Morang

(C) Sunsari

(D) Dhanusha

(E) Parsa

(F) Chitwan

(G) Rupendehi

(H) Banke

(I) Kanchanpur

4) Date, time, and center of entrance examination: will be published later.

5) Information about the entrance exam:

(A) The mark weight of the entrance examination shall be 100 integers. There will be a two-hour examination in general knowledge subjects including mathematics, information technology, and English on the basis of proficiency certificate level or 11th and 12th or similar courses.

(B) All the questions of the entrance examination will be objective.

(C) In order to pass the entrance examination, one has to get 35% marks of Purnadak.

(D) If the examinees get equal marks in the result of the entrance examination, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in mathematics subjects in the entrance examination. If there are equal marks then the marks obtained in Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge and Information Technology will be used as the basis. In case of equal marks in all, at least a lower education level will be used as the basis. Issues obtained from these bases will not be published.

6) Class operation and admission process: will be published later.

7) In relation to inclusive quota: Campus / Colleges will have to admit on the basis of inclusive quota as prescribed by TRI Semester System Operation Regulations, 2074. An inclusive form for this information will be posted on the website of this office
