ACCA Programme at The British College Kathmandu

The British College Kathmandu Offered ACCA Programme:

The British Professional College, owned by The British College Kathmandu offers the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) programme.  The ACCA is the largest and fastest-growing international professional accountancy body, with over 527,000 students and 219,000 fully qualified members spread across 179 countries worldwide.

The British Professional College is accredited by the ACCA as a GOLD ALP, this recognises the quality of tuition, student experience, and the pass rates.  Having prepared hundreds of students for ACCA examinations since 2012, the College has an excellent profile which includes top-performing students – an ACCA World exam topper and also frequent ACCA Nepal country toppers.

The college has invested in state of the art infrastructure, second to none student services and offers a separate internship and placement department to help students find articleship and placements.  The college has MOUS with various organisations to support this.

With expert tutors with varied, relevant professional experience for all ACCA papers,

we are the only ALP in Nepal to run regular classes using online platforms for all levels during the COVID-19 pandemic

In addition, the college has been organizing online classes as an alternative arrangement. Remotely invigilated mock exams and final ACCA examinations are conducted during lockdown despite the COVID-19 crisis.

The college continues to monitor and improve excellent student experience and outcomes, working with students to understand their issues. The College tutors ensure students are aware of all their options for study and support and our students are also active volunteers in supporting their peers.

The college expresses its gratitude to all the faculty, staff, students, parents, and civil society for their support in the study and other activities using the alternative technology of the college.  Working together we continue to ensure student progress and safety, ready to offer student support in any eventuality during this difficult time.

Professor Mary, former Director of Learning at ACCA, recently joined The British College as Executive Principal:

“As an ACCA qualified accountant myself, my whole career has benefited from being a qualified accountant.  Working in leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Research Laboratories, a number of universities and professional bodies, the knowledge, and skills provided by ACCA have been hugely important.

Current circumstances are difficult worldwide, the impact of the pandemic and climate change are far-reaching.  I believe having a professional qualification that demonstrates the ability to not only undertake accounting and auditing but also analytics, digital modelling, fintech, creative business modelling and leadership will prepare students for a really good career in a changing world.

The ACCA professional and technical skills will allow students to adapt to new and emerging industries, like agritech, new and emerging roles around governance, business partnering, and digital infrastructure.  I am delighted by the success the British Professional College has already demonstrated and look forward to its continuing, future success.”
